I am a developer with an engineer’s mind, a creative heart, and a love for solving problems that make life a little simpler and more beautiful.
I was born in Namibia and spent part of my childhood on a cattle farm, where curiosity, resourcefulness, and hands-on learning were part of daily life. I later moved to South Africa to study Chemical Engineering at Stellenbosch University, and after graduating I relocated to Adelaide, South Australia — a place I’ve now proudly called home.
Before becoming a developer, I spent ~7.5 years working as a Process Engineer at Aurecon, contributing to major projects in the water, mining, and oil & gas sectors. Engineering gave me a deep appreciation for structured thinking, systems design, and solving complex challenges — skills that naturally transitioned into my passion for software development.
But as much as I valued my engineering career, I felt a strong pull toward something more creative and flexible. I wanted to build things that people could interact with directly — tools, interfaces, and experiences. So I made the decision to pivot my career into software development, embracing new technologies, continuous learning, and building a portfolio of projects that reflect both my technical ability and creative style.
Today, I live in Adelaide with my husband, our kids, and our lovable dog, balancing family life with my excitement for every new skill, project, and challenge that coding brings. I’m driven by curiosity, growth, and the joy of turning an idea into something real and useful — one line of code at a time.
